GET TO THE UNIVERSITY BY BIKE POLO IS A RUSSIAN ROULETTE
Hello, I am a researcher who works in Milan in September at the Parco Tecnologico Padano.
Every day I get to Milan by train in Lodi, then turning forklift my bicycle and cycling to the university.
All is well, very well indeed, until I move into town, but unfortunately, at some point my road meets the junction of the bypass, which come at a high speed car and truck old Lodi Direct. Just
in this stretch where there would be no need bike path, the path instead takes up "from nothing" just ahead.
The problem is even worse, if possible, to return: for the evening (that is, in this season from five pm onwards) the road is poorly lit and badly, to make matters worse, the poor cyclist at some point is also forced to move towards the middle of the road to turn left and enter the city, thereby jeopardizing their safety.
Every night I feel like playing "Russian roulette"! Also because it is known that the lights only work when the bicycle rider is pedaling, because when you're in the middle of the road waiting to turn left you do not ride, it was completely dark.
I invite you to make an inspection on site to be aware of the situation in person.
I do not think that the 'economic investment to make this short link between the town and the bike path that winds around the university Polo is huge: it would be enough to pave the path land lying by the roadside to turn it into a two-way bike path, and I think that the section is only a few hundred meters long.
