take away any doubt ... From New York
The other day I saw a man parked in double rows on a nearly Bassett St., opening the door, it killed a cyclist ... I've seen him rant against her because she was on the road and not on the bike path ... The Lord was definitely wrong
(arrogance has no limits really), but - I wonder - the lady was surely right? If there is a cycle track cyclists we are "required", "forced" or simply "invited" to take it?
Dario says that however the road is for everyone, but it is also true that pedestrians can not walk in the street. Or not?

Hedge Fund It Bonus Average
a blog about the abuses in traffic
A pass on the windshield and the car is free to annoy, take place unduly.
Many are called public officials, that take advantage of their (small / large) office for squatting public space.
the face of other citizens, who also work. They are politicians, judges, policemen, members of the prefecture ... But that is a problem only an American.
Some cars have even been on the sidewalks.
members of the association that promotes alternative mobility and in particular mobility bike photographed 405 of these violations. There are also more than 4000 comments.

What do you think? And if we did a section of the blog to publish photos of the most common offenses in Lodi?

How To Get Marks Off A White Coat
What comments on Via San Bassett?
In recent days, have concluded work on the path of Via San Bassett. As mentioned in another blog post, the job was complex, substantially conforms to the design developed with the participation of the local residents (see minutes on the site Ciclodi -tale) and then, though not perfect , meets the objective of improving the road network and local mobility.
the local newspaper, as always, much emphasis has been given to critical positions, certainly legitimate, and not the project or verification of the consent on the same.
Actually talk about the work done does not hurt and is always stimulating constructive. Here, therefore, find all the letters that have occurred on the Citizen called for further contributions. The original pages are available for download below. E 'should be noted that the first letters were written to work not completed.

Groping Boobs At Train
For us it is a good job
It finally arrived the path of Via S. Bassett.
The work had not yet been completed (or will end this next week) but the controversies are already 'begun.
Following the position taken by the Board of Directors Ciclodi-FIAB. The debate and 'open .
The bike path was needed and a good project to be considered the interests of all.
As with everything you do in Lodi, including the construction of the bike path routes Lodivecchio - S. Bassett - Mazzini and Piacenza has led to protests. We read an angry, discouraged, angry . This letter of protest came before the end of the work, you still have to conclude, and that they will see for example the installation of road signs.
is of course right of everyone to express their views, with the tone and content that you prefer. We feel, however, give some advice to facilitate comparison civilian and democratic, but also help solve problems rather than helping exacerbate the confusion.
The first suggestion is that of respect for others, not to think of being the only ones with common sense, do not always feel the subject of a plot by those who want to ridicule and damage to others. As we have seen, the design of the path of Via S. Bassett was very careful, as the commitment of the designer and the city administration, but also of our association and many residents of the area. No coincidence that there were four nights of public discussion and then present the project.
The second suggestion is to not underestimate the technical expertise of the designers. For example, the narrowing of the road section, and his small misalignment, it was not accidental, but an attempt to decrease the speed of vehicles. It is certainly resolute action. But also propose a one-way circular Via S. Bassi and Via Gandini (by then to get the car almost in Via S. Bassett station ...) is not a choice without weaknesses.
The third is to try to see all points of view. The intervention in Via S. Bassi and Via Mazzini is a very difficult operation, as In the area there are conflicts between different requirements: those who want to walk and ride safely on the road. Who lives and wants to come and go from the comfort of your driveway or road that you enter the main street. Who wants to park your car in front of the house. Who wants a sufficient number of parking spaces in front of their business, per se, for its customers or for loading or unloading goods. Who wants to move quickly in the car along the road (and even these are so many ...). It is easy to see how these requirements are conflicting and not all needs can be met simultaneously. E 'need a compromise. The compromise will not please anyone, but maybe you know how the others think may serve to understand that maybe the right and wrong are distributed differently from what you initially thought.
The fourth tip is to not expect a magic wand from the other if you have not personally. No action is completely decisive, especially in complex situations. We agree that not everything is solved now that the bike path did not lead to absolute security on the road. But we think he has improved the overall situation was worse than the first, now is better. Of course, in the future will focus also on the part of cyclists to understand how the track, not to use it in the wrong direction on both sides. To understand that the dangers have not disappeared.
Finally, please be constructive. There may be some adjustments. It happens so in the works designed and made by humans. They are never perfect, even those where you think, think, discuss and down again. If you try to make concrete proposals maybe you gain a bit 'of humility in criticizing the proposals of others. For example, if the intersection with Via Benedetto Croce is too dangerous, we may propose to move back by one to two meters from the crossing the start of the parking lot. If you actually improve the situation, whether it's worth, we are in favor.
Finally, we are happy to have finally realized the bike path in S. Bassett and seems to be a good project. The bike path did not match all the way to provision for pedestrians and cyclists, has only given a little space to the thousands of cyclists every day we go by and they too have some rights. We hope that if they make more in Lodi, quickly, many other roads in need.
For the future, we hope that the comparison is clear and open. As an association that promotes the use of bicycles in Lodi and is accustomed to act in a civilized and democratic, listening to the needs of everyone, not just those of cyclists, we are ready to listen to all opinions and to have our say. For this purpose we held many meetings on this issue and we have opened a discussion on the blog of our association. We'd all try to reason considering not only its own interests, but the whole city, among which there are many pedestrians and cyclists. The Board of Directors of
